Welcome to Artistir! The Social Network for Unsigned Artists and Their Fans!

Hello, everybody! Welcome to Artistir! We have created an online community for both artists and fans, alike. Musicians, bands, comedians, or whatever, you don't need to look any further. Let me tell you what separates us from the rest.

First of all, all of our features are of no cost. You can be a musician or a fan. We won't ask you for any of your money. The ONLY exception to this rule is if you want to sell music, audio files, etc. through our site. For us to keep up with server costs, we charge a measly twenty dollars a year to upgrade. Artists can still upload songs or other audio for free download, or just streaming, no cost ever.

Secondly, we do have charts. Our charts are not based on premium memberships. We do not have mainstream acts that overshadow you unsigned musicians. Our charts aren't based on how many "friends" you have. They are based on who gets the most plays and best reviews. Period. We have a lot of surprises in the works for those of you who continue to top our charts and utilize our site.

Our site is designed different from any other music site. If you decide to register, you will be asked to create a profile. This is NOT a profile for your band, if you are in one. This is YOUR OWN personal profile. You can chat, make friends, or whatever through it. Once you log in, you will have the option to "Create an Artist". Here is where you will create a profile for your band, your solo act, comic act, or etc. You can create multiple artist pages under your profile, meaning that if you are in multiple bands you can manage them all from your own personal profile. Not only that, but if your bandmates sign up as well, they too, can manage the band profile, such as adding songs, videos, photos, events, news, etc. For some, it may seem a little different at first, but we've strived to make the layout as clutter-free and user friendly as possible.

Want to discover new music? Browse our database of songs and musicians! Need a guitarist, song writing help or critique, or just want to talk off topic? Check out our forums! Also, we have full real time chat and chat rooms. You can chat one on one with other artists and fans. Artists and fans can create their own chat rooms, or join one that's already there. We're looking at every way possible that an artist and a fan can interact.
