| Biography: | The Fox & The Hounds is a new Chicago based indie rock band that focus on strong, memorable melodies and eclectic stylings. Their influences pull from many different genres and artists ranging from Dusty Springfield to Tori Amos to plain old-fashioned rock n’ roll. The music is centered on the voice of singer/songwriter Kendel Lester and is supported by an excellent rhythm section consisting of Matt Livensparger (guitar), formerly of industrial rock band, Jilt, Ira Ochs (bass), and Tony Panico (drums). Violinist/vocalist, Kara Poe adds haunting layers to the music that together with keyboardist Sam Crossland create a sound that is solely unique an always exciting. Their lively, edgy, burlesque style shows and catchy songs make for not only an original and fresh sound but a distinctive live performance for any venue. |
