Hi everyone! Things are on the up and up here at Artistir. We're soaring through the Alexa web rankings. As of today, we are the 528,136th most popular site in the world (still got a ways to go there), 37,736th in the US, and 1,271st in the Boston area. The site is a little under 7 months old, which is amazing. We're gaining new artists and members everyday at a faster rate. I'm pumped to see how many people are discovering our site each day. I love seeing some of you guys collaborating on projects, and there is definitely a whirlwind of talent on here. You guys are all getting in on the ground floor of what, we hope, will become a huge community.
Currently, myself and a couple others are working on putting together a show here in Boston with some of our local artists. If you are interested in performing (you will be paid), hit me up. We are looking at doing both a rock and hip-hop show for starters. We have a couple guys already committed. I'm working out the details of the date. It's looking like late summer. If we can get that going, we will eventually be expanding to different areas of the country (and possibly the world) to put on shows featuring our talent on this site. More to come on that.
Anybody have any comments on the current site layout, or what you would like to see added? Let me know. We're looking to add an online store function. You'll be able to setup your own online store, using a Paypal account, sell merchandise, or even auction it, like on eBay. This will be available to those with the seller accounts. If you don't have a seller account, you can upgrade at anytime from your homepage by clicking on your membership level. It's a measly $20 a YEAR (not a month) and that's just money we're using to pay for and expand the site. Right now, everything is still coming out of Chris's and my pockets. Anyway, I have a forum post related to this here.
June is nearing an end. With that, it means new featured artists, albums, songs, and videos. We're trying to spread the love. If your good and you're using the site, you will be featured at some point. We're mixing up the genres, and we want to see everyone on here get the recognition they deserve.
I know there are some newcomers who are still trying to get a feel for the site. I'm going to be recording a tutorial or two on how the create and manage artist profiles feature works. Remember, there's a reason we have it setup this way. If you're in multiple bands, or more than one of your band members uses the site, you can administer your band/musician profile(s) all from your own one account. No need to have separate log ins for the site. I'll be posting those videos once I get them recorded (Windows 8 release preview isn't a big fan of my screen capture software).
Thanks for reading!

P.S. Musicby6 has signed up for Audio Rokit, who can be found in the links tab at the bottom of the page, and got a deal for some of his songs. They're giving us a deal, using promo code star23 for a free month. Check em out, if you like.

Almost at 1000 members with about 150 artists so far. We've got a ways to go, but our first four months, we had like 10 artists with like 80 members. lol
